Two of our cottages are suitable for people with mobility difficulties. Red Deer and Sika are suitable for people with mobility impairments and have completely level interiors with no internal steps, making movement easier.  These have been designed to meet M3 level under the National Accessible Standard, meaning they are appropriate for guests who use a wheelchair and are able to transfer without assistance.

Level paved access from the car park to the cottages helps make arrival and departure less challenging.

Bathrooms: Grab handles around toilets and showers.  Raised toilet for easier transfers.  Showers have step free access and space for a shower seat (which we can provide).  Basins have clear space beneath for seated use.

Bedrooms: Space for a wheelchair beside the bed in the main bedroom.  

Kitchen: Lowered worktops and lever handles. Sink has clear space beneath for seated use.

Considerations: The Swimming pool entrance has a step but a ramp can be fitted to aid entry. Changing room and WC is on one level. Entry to pool is via steps with handrail. Anti-slip tiles fitted throughout. There is a step into the Sports Hall but a ramp can be fitted to aid entry.
