"We had an absolutely super stay at Poltarrow farm! We stayed in a two bedroomed cottage, Sika, for our February half term and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Judith, Peter, Libby and Kate were most excellent hosts. We live in the Midlands, so it was a long drive down, but totally worth it. When we got to the cottage, we were greeted with freshly made scones, clotted cream and jam. Whats more, there was freshly baked bread on the side, and in the fridge there was milk, sausages, bacon and home-made marmalade...what a welcome!"

"Stayed for a few days with family in April. We were all beyond impressed with the cottage and the facilities on the farm. The cottage, Stag, is very comfortable and beautifully converted. Every detail had been thought out.... Everything you need is supplied... Right down to a large box of baby supplies.. Blender etc! The pool is great, lovely and warm.... Other facilities such as the tumble room and also brilliantly equipped... Feeding the animals is great for kids. Can't recommend highly enough for families."

"We had a marvellous stay in Red Deer cottage at Poltarrow Farm. Check in was easy and a lovely hamper of local treats had been left for us to enjoy. The cottage was beautifully decorated and bigger than I was expecting. The kitchen was really well equipped and we made use of the BBQ three times during the week we stayed. My children (5 and 3) loved the daily animal feeding with the friendly owner. They were besides themselves when they were offered the opportunity to ride a pony during the week."

"We have been here before about 10 years ago, but I had to write this review. The family owned farm is top notch, highly recommended. We had one of the cottages, my daughter and her family had the roe buck house as they’re are 6 of them. Our cottage was amazing, spotlessly clean and how thoughtful a welcome hamper full of fresh farm produce, there was even shower cap and accessories for the shower, there is a lovely bath as well"

"My partner and I stayed in Deerpark cottage. A self contained cottage perfect for two. We were delighted by it. It is in three parts, a cosy bedroom and large main room with a very well equipped kitchen, log burner and sofa, TV, coffee table, dining table etc, and a luxury bathroom with a warm floor and heated towel rails. The cottage was warm, clean and beautiful."
