Dog Friendly Holidays

Bring your pooch along with you.

Cornwall is a wonderful place to visit with your four legged friend and within a 10 minute drive from Poltarrow there are coastal paths, beaches and woodland trails to discover. At Poltarrow you will have 45 acres of superb countryside for you and your pooch to explore. Our land extends to approximately one field width around the site. (see site plan) We do ask guests to follow the countryside code, close all gates and not to enter any field that contains livestock.

Our 4 dog friendly cottages are Deerpark, Fallow, Red Deer and Stag cottage. Red Deer and Stag cottage both have an enclosed terrace that is secure unless you have a good jumper! All pets must be booked by prior arrangement and with and agreement to follow the terms of our Pet Policy (see below).

Please telephone on 01726 67111 or email us if you would like to discuss your requirements – and those of your pet – and we will be very happy to help you choose your ideal cottage.

In your cottage ready for your arrival you will find a Dog Box .This contains dog bowls, dog lead, poo bags and dog towel.  You will also find useful dog friendly information, favourite walks, and telephone numbers for dog sitters, crèche, kennels and veterinary practices. Please be sure to read our pet policy.

Please note we do not take dogs in any of our cottages during the main school holidays (except assistance dogs).

PETS AT POLTARROW POLICY

We are only too pleased to allow 1 small dog, aged over 12months to accompany you in certain cottages, outside of the main School Holidays. The cottages that we allow a dog in are Deerpark, Fallow, Red Deer and Stag. All pets must be booked in and paid for (£40 per dog, per week or part week/per cottage entered). Maximum of 1 dog per property unless arranged with us at the time of booking.
You are welcome to exercise your dogs in any fields that do not contain livestock. Our land extends to approximately one field width around the site (see site plan).

Dogs must be kept under control at all times whilst on the property. All dogs must be kept on leads. Please do not enter any field where livestock are present.

We would be grateful if you could always clean up after your dog and get rid of any dog mess responsibly.

Please wash and dry pets’ feet before entering the cottage.
There is a hose for your use outside the Tumble Room.

Please do not allow your dogs on the sofa, chairs or beds and make sure they use their own bed/basket. Remove all fur and hair thoroughly before departing –
failure to do this could result in a £50 extra cleaning charge.

Please do not allow your dog in the bedrooms.

Do not wash/dry your dog’s bedding etc. in the washing machine as some guests are allergic to pet hairs.

When going out please do not leave your dog in the property unattended.
