Pet Policy
Bringing Your Dog to Poltarrow
Dogs are welcome in five of our six cottages by prior arrangement, at a charge of £40 per dog, per week or part-week, for each cottage stayed in.
We normally welcome one dog per cottage, although we’re happy to discuss individual circumstances. Please contact us before booking so we can confirm arrangements.
Dogs are not accepted during the main school holidays (May Half Term & Summer), with the exception of assistance dogs.
- Dogs must be kept under control at all times and on leads around the cottages, farm buildings and anywhere livestock are present. Dogs may run off-lead in designated fields without livestock. We’ll let you know which fields are suitable when you arrive, as these may change depending on where our animals are grazing.
- We would be grateful if you could always clean up after your dog and get rid of any dog mess responsibly.
- Please wipe and dry your dog's paws before entering the cottage. There's an outside hose available near the Soft Play Room for washing off muddy paws after a walk.
- Please do not allow your dogs on the sofa, chairs or beds and make sure they use their own bed/basket. Remove all fur and hair thoroughly before departing – failure to do this could result in a £50 extra cleaning charge.
- Please do not allow your dog in the bedrooms.
- Do not wash/dry your dog’s bedding etc. in the washing machine as some guests are allergic to pet hairs.
- When going out please do not leave your dog in the property unattended.
- Dogs are not permitted in the indoor swimming pool area, children's playground or Soft Play Room.
